Industrial Hemp… Has been used in the United States for a number of years for many different purposes.  The first American flag was made out of Hemp.  George Washington and Thomas Jefferson grew hemp on their farms and sold it as a  product for a variety of uses. Ben Franklin made hemp paper to write on because of its durability and ability to hold the color of ink. Considering that background I am sure that it will come as no surprise that the Declaration of Independence was drafted on hemp paper. Hemp was used for rope on ships and was a required crop in the colonies prior to the Revolutionary War. Hemp has been grown for at least 12,000 years.  In the state of North Dakota, hemp was grown for the war effort during World War II.  That is one of the reasons so much wild hemp is found growing in rural North Dakota.

“Cannabidiol (CBD) is a phytocannabinoid discovered in 1940. It is one of some 113 identified cannabinoid in cannabis plants, accounting for up to 40% of the plant’s extract.  As of 2018, preliminary clinical research on cannabidiol included studies of anxiety, cognition, movement disorders, and pain.

Cannabidiol can be taken into the body in multiple different ways, including by inhalation of cannabis smoke or vapor, as an aerosol sprays into the cheek, and by mouth. It may be supplied as CBD oil containing only CBD as the active ingredient (no added THC or terpenes, a full-plant CBD-dominant hemp extract oil, capsules, dried cannabis, or as a prescription liquid solution CBD does not have the same psychoactivity as THC and may affect the actions of THC.  Although in vitro studies indicate CBD may interact with different biological substances, including cannabinoid receptors and other neurotransmitter receptors, as of 2018 the mechanism of action for its biological effects has not been determined.

In the United States, the cannabidiol drug Epidiolex has been approved by the FDA for treatment of two epilepsy disorders. The side effects of long-term use of the drug include somnolence, decreased appetite, diarrhea, fatigue, malaise, weakness, sleeping problems, and others.

The U.S. DEA has assigned Epidiolex a Schedule V classification, while non-Epidiolex CBD remains a Schedule 1 drug prohibited for any use. Cannabidiol is not scheduled under any United Nations drug control treaties and in 2018 the World Health Organization-recommended that it remain unscheduled.” – Wikipedia

I have long believed that there are many different products produced naturally that are of great value to people.  For whatever reason, our country began to depend upon products produced in the lab that often times did as much harm as they did good.

I am currently using CBD oil and I know many others that are seeing significant benefits in many different areas.  I will talk specifically about HempWorx products and why I choose this particular product for use and to market.
